Holiday in Ireon

Ireon has a great history. Some minutes outside from the village you find the famous Heraion temple and the ruins of the Holy Road. Visit the old well preserved monastery Megali Panagia and the castle Ag.Ioannis.

Walkers and bikers can enjoy the untouched nature around Ireon. Small dirt roads through endless olive groves, paths to the cliffs of Ireon, and long demanding routes to the river valley of Mili or up to Pagondas.

Ireon is a holiday village with beautiful small beaches, a promenade, and romantic taverns directly by the sea. A long nature beach stretches over 7 km from Ireon to Potokaki and Pythagorion. Between the white sea cliffs on the south side of Ireon are a lot of fun and quiet beaches like Papa`s Beach, Asprokavos, or Kiriakou.

A marketplace by the sea, the romantic pier with traditional fishing boats, shopping lanes with local products, Greek taverns, restaurants with local and international food, and many modern music bars invite you to enjoy the summer.

Small hotels, apartments, and rooms offer a relaxed holiday for young people and families.
